11 I called for a (A)drought on the land, on the mountains, on the grain, on the new wine, on the oil, on what the ground produces, on (B)men, on cattle, and on (C)all the labor of [a]your hands.”

12 Then (D)Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and (E)Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, (F)obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him. And the people [b](G)showed reverence for the Lord. 13 Then Haggai, the (H)messenger of the Lord, spoke [c]by the commission of the Lord to the people saying, “‘(I)I am with you,’ declares the Lord.”
